illustrator pdf problem

So, when I save an illustrator document as a pdf and open it in acrobat, the image appears jagged as if it were pixelated. It also prints this way too. Any ideas?

    When you save it as a pdf there should be a large grey dialogue box that comes up, allowing you to make soecific requests as to how you want the document exported. Be sure that you have the quality pull down window at the top set to high quality print.
